ADMISSION INTO PART-TIME DEGREE AND PROFESSIONAL POSTGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES IN THE 2009/2010 ACADEMIC SESSION
Applications are hereby invited from qualified candidates into the Bachelors Degree and Professional Postgraduate Degree Programme in the Part-Time Programme Unit of the University of Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria for the 2009/2010 Academic Session.
BACHELOR’S DEGREE PROGRAMME
A. 5 YEARS DURATION
1. B.Sc. Accounting

3. B.Sc. Banking and Finance
Admission Requirements:
Applicants must possess 5 credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two other relevant subjects. Commerce may be acceptable in lieu of Economics for B.Sc. Accounting and B.Sc. Business Administration.
4. B.Sc. Public Administration
Admission Requirements:
Applicants must possess 5 credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, one Arts subject and two other subjects.
5. B.A. History & International Studies
Applicants must possess 5 credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB including English Language, Government/History, One Arts subject and two other subjects.
6. B.Sc. Criminology
Admission Requirements:

1. Masters of Business Administration
Applicants must possess the following requirements:
i. Five Credits passes at O’Level including English Language and Mathematics
ii. A good honours degree not below Second Lower Division from a recognized University in any discipline.
iii. Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit PLUS Postgraduate Diploma of a recognized University.
iv. A minimum of 1 year post qualification managerial/administrative experience is mandatory. Candidates will be required to do a written Qualifying Test.
2. Masters of Public Administration
i. Five Credits passes at O’Level including English Language, Ordinary pass in Mathematics may be accepted.
ii. A good honours degree not below Second Lower Division from a recognized University in any discipline.
iii. Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit PLUS Postgraduate Diploma of a recognized University.

4. Master of Industrial & Labour Relations
i. Five Credits passes at O’Level including English Language, Ordinary pass in Mathematics may be accepted.
ii. A good honours degree not below Second Lower Division from a recognized University in the Social Sciences, Hotel & Catering Management Sciences, Food Technology, Architecture, Town Planning Surveying or Business Administration.
iii. Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit PLUS Postgraduate Diploma of a recognized University.
5. Master of Recreation & Tourism
i. Five Credit passes at ‘O’ level including English Language, Ordinary pass in Mathematics may be accepted.
ii. A good honours degree not below Second Class Lower Division from a recognized University in the Social Sciences, Hotel & Catering Management Sciences, Food Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Surveying or Business Administration.
iii. Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit PLUS Postgraduate Diploma of a recognized University.
6. Master of Information Technology
i. Five Credits passes at O’Level including English Language and Mathematics.
ii. A good honours degree not below Second Lower Division from a recognized University preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Communication Arts, Data Processing, Social and Management Science, Humanities or related discipline is preferred.
iii. Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit PLUS Postgraduate Diploma of a recognized University.
7. Master of Environmental Management
8. Master of Petroleum Economics
i. Five Credits passes at O’Level including English Language, Ordinary pass in Mathematics.
ii. A good honours degree not below Second Lower Division from a recognized University preferably in Biology, Micro-Biology, Geophysics, Education (Science), Geography, Estate Management, Social and Management Science, Wildlife, Forestry, Architecture, with specialization in Community Health & Agric Science.
iii. Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit PLUS Postgraduate Diploma of a recognized University.

HOW TO APPLY
Interested applicants are to follow the underlisted procedures:
(a) Pay the application fee and obtain Teller at the designated banks: WEMA, ZENITH, SPRING, UBA, OCEANIC, INTERCONTINENTAL Banks in Ado-Ekiti and obtain the admission scratch card.
(b) Then use the card to download application form
(c) Attached photocopies of credentials to the downloaded print-out and submit to the PTP Office on the Campus.
NOTE: All Academic programmes advertised are run on PART-TIME BASIS i.e. on Weekends (Friday, Saturdays and sometimes on Sunday)
All Applicants may be required to do written qualifying test and or attend an interview before selection.
All application MUST be completed and submitted within 4 weeks from the date of this advertisement.
